What to do with the transcript your recorder already made

Keep the recorder. SalesWolf is a deal workspace for sales reps. Paste a call you already had; it marks how deep each MEDDPICC dimension actually goes and writes the questions for the next one.

A long strip of paper unrolled across a desk under a lamp, with one rectangle cut out of it.

Can’t I just paste the transcript into ChatGPT?

You can, and if you ask it the right questions you’ll get a fair read of that one call. What you’d be rebuilding by hand every week is the deal: every call on the same ten rows, what you accepted, what is still blank, and the question written against each blank.

A transcript is complete by definition. Every word is in it, so a gap has no timestamp to find. The moment the buyer mentioned who signs, and you moved on, reads like every other moment.

What you need after the call is the deal, not the call: every call you’ve had, on the same ten rows, so the next paste starts where the last one stopped.

What happens to the transcript when I paste it here?

Its text goes onto the deal, and the facts in it are proposed dimension by dimension for you to accept, edit or throw out. Nothing goes on the deal until you accept it. A dimension nobody covered stays blank, and the question for it gets written.

  • No bot

Nothing joins your calls. You bring the transcript you already have, pasted, or dropped in as a PDF, Word document, text or .vtt file.

  • No CRM connection

Nothing is written to your CRM. The scorecard ends with the CRM update written out field by field, for you to paste.

  • Never uploaded

Your file is read in your browser and never uploaded. The text stays with the deal until you delete the deal.

  • No manager view

No dashboard, no roll-up, no count by rep.

Everything we keep, and for how long, is on the Trust page.

What comes out of one pasted call: the Discovery Recap, with the follow-up email written from it.

Will my manager see this?

Only if they hold a seat in your workspace. Deals are shared with your teammates by default, and you can make any deal private to you; its account and the people on it stay shared. Even with a seat there is no manager view: no dashboard, no roll-up, no count by rep.

Is my company going to let me upload calls?

The file never is: it’s read in your browser, and only the text inside it is sent, where it stays with the deal until you delete the deal. Whether that’s allowed is your company’s call. The Trust page lists everything we keep, and what we don’t have yet, audits included, and it’s written to be forwarded to your security team.

Do I still need the recorder?

Keep it if you have one. It records what was said, and that is what SalesWolf reads, along with your notes and email threads. The question nobody asked has no timestamp in any transcript, which is why the reading has to happen somewhere else.

The recorder, the CRM and the spreadsheet, side by side: Instead of.

What goes in is the call you already had.
